Obstacles and hidden Blessings
Once lived a king in the 1700’s who ordered his men to place a boulder on a roadway. He then hide around a far corner in the bush to watch if peradventure anyone would be nice enough move the rock out of the way. Some of the noble and wealthiest merchants of the city and courtiers passed by simply walking this blockade. Some turned back their cart to take a longer route.
Many people blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them did anything about getting the stone removed.
One day, a peasant came along carrying vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to push the stone out of the way. After much pushing and straining, he finally managed.
After the peasant went back to pick up his vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins with the writing that says, this is from the king, I thank you for your generosity and kind heart, these token is my way of saying thank you.
Moral of the story:
• The best way to overcome a problems is not by avoiding them.
• Every obstacle that we come across is an opportunity to improve our circumstances, and while the lazy complain, others are creating opportunities through their kind hearts, generosity, and willingness to get things done, and by providing a solution, we celebrate them.
