HardFork Series: A Behind the Scenes Peek

in #story7 years ago (edited)

Can you believe it? We’re just over a week away from SteemFest 2 in Lisbon! We couldn’t be more excited to share the teaser trailer we’ve been crafting for the past few weeks. The HardFork Series team also has some fun surprises in store for everyone.

There’s no time for rest when you’re trying to create a cultural movement that will bring cryptocurrency/blockchain to the masses. Because of this, as we’re prepping for SteemFest we’re also beginning to plot out the course ahead for the coming months. We’re strategizing on fundraising for the entire HardFork ecosystem and are planning an intense writing session before the end of the year with our core team of writers.

Here are a few things we’ve been working on this week:

A GLIMPSE INTO POST-PRODUCTION

Doug and Gillian hard at work cutting in our crazy messy Brooklyn edit suite

MOVIE POSTER/CONTEST

Our film poster is designed and is being printed in Portugal for SteemFest as you read this. We’ll be revealing our teaser trailer poster design in a post from the HardFork-Series account tomorrow. We'll also announce a contest that will allow Steemians to get further engaged in our project. Please keep an eye out for tomorrow’s post for more information.

LIBERTY DOLLAR

With the Liberty Dollar we set out to create a physical representation of the firewalled/centralized cryptocurrency created by the Central Finance Service (CFS). The picture below is a rough prototype of the front of the coin and will be refined further. In the coin’s design we used elements of the Statue of Liberty torch and The Eye of Providence.

GOALS FOR NEXT WEEK

  • Getting final details of the teaser trailer debut event finalized.
  • Laying groundwork for getting season one underway.
  • Working with derivative content contributors to create artwork, contests, etc. to help promote the project.
  • Continuing our outreach efforts to educate people about our project as well as the cryptocurrency/blockchain sector in general.

Thank you all so much for the tremendous continued show of support!

Yours in the chain,

Time is ticking and this crew is working hard! Thanks a lot for the update, namaste :)

You guys are working so hard… I’m inspired to go get another cup of tea right now and get back engaged in my day! We need all the inspiration we can get in the crypto ecosystem right now. Trailer poster, Contest, Fundraiser … and the Liberty Dollar looks awesome! Upvoted / Resteemed !! Peace

Thank you @clumsysilverdad! We're working incredibly hard but are having a whole lot of fun too! What's your favorite tea? I'm a huge fan of Chinese green.

Replied with wrong account

@steemcleaners, what do you mean? What's the modus operandi in these cases?

If someone is informing about the fishing attack we need to thank them, and you guys for the great work.

Let me know what we need to do next to help.

Sorry replied in the wrong tab above. No commenting before breakfast I should know better

As @patrice said he hid the comments informing people about the dangers of the phishing link. With his high rep this also damages both accounts but not the rep of the phisher because he doesn't have high enough SP to do that. No one can hid rep 65 and above posts.

Now I have to ask myself why would anyone flag informational posts about a phishing attack? Only reasons are total lack of care or a compromised account. Both result in people not being warned of the dangers. A rep 75 should know better.

Thanks for the support. @ericvancewalton flagged the replies to twinkledrop below informing users about the scam. @beerbot is a general info bot. I have @zoee now commenting directly under the post that the stolen accounts are posting too instead of as a reply. The scammer is using a large white image to make the comments hard to see with replies.

No amount of flagging the comment will hide it unless we can drop the rep below 65. Which most of us can't do.

Thanks @patrice! It was all a misunderstanding and thank you for you guys for all you do!

I know it must be hard to deal with all these scammers on the daily basis, just know that many of us appreciate what you guys are doing for the platform.

If you need us to do anything in these cases, let us know. :)

I apologize @patrice. I was confused by all of the comments. I've unflagged the comments for @beerbot and @zoee.

Thanks. It is confusing. I've moved @zoee's comment up a level for future comments. The phishing is going to be a problem if it spreads to more 65+ reputation accounts.

Thanks for safeguarding and educating us all. Together we can beat it.

There is no way to hide the phishing link in @twinkledrop's comment below. I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't downvote & hide the notice that users clicking on the link could have their account stolen.

Green is great, but I gave up coffee a few years back so I usually need a punch in the face from a cup or two of Earl Grey/Black Tea to get me going. (-:

nice coin design! Can't wait to see you guys at steemfest and check out all the progress! Its genna be awesome :D :D

Can't wait to see you too @basilmarples!!

This is really cool! I assume you all have thought of getting the coin design minted onto copper rounds and selling them to raise capitol?

I know I would buy one!

Keep giving us updates!

wonderful! sorry I won't be there to see your trailer in person, I do hope to get to see it though after it debuts.

Wow!! You people are a very wide thinker ,i'm glad to hear that ....i'm going to resream now also

Great to hear from you, but the question is this physical liberty dollar might need an authority on the part of local government. But yeah best of luck for that.

I really waiting for that @hardfork-series teaser ;)

Time is very valuable and you doing hard work
Keep going on .

Thanks for sharing
