INCIDENT REPORT 08-03-53
IMPACT OF DEEP SPACE OBJECT
On 08-03-53 at 13:27 local time, long-range sensors detected an inbound object traveling at FTL speed towards Earth. The object was identified as the transport ship Rocinante. No human life signs were detected onboard. Attempts were made to disintegrate the ship with orbiting defense satellites, but were ultimately unsuccessful. The ship disengaged its FTL drive and impacted with Earth in Sector 079 at approximately 27,000 MPH, creating a shockwave that destroyed everything within several dozen miles. Investigations did not reveal any surviving wreckage from the crash. The ship is presumed totally destroyed, but an effective area of 3 times that of the impact site is to remain cordoned off until a thorough sweep has been conducted to hopefully locate the ship’s memory core.
Good story. Resteemed
I certainly appreciate it, but I wouldn't think this is one of the more interesting parts of the story, unless you've followed the whole thing. With that in mind, I'll be posting something in the next few days that works much better to tie everything together, so if you'd really like to resteem something (which is totally fine, and I love that you'd want to), that would probably be the one to do it with. But I really do appreciate the thought.
Anyway, the story isn't quite over yet, so I do hope you'll stick around and finish it up.
