How was your weekend Steemians? I hope it's been great. Mine is the usual, nothing special. We went to one of the places I love in this city. If you're my batch mate you probably know where this is.
My husband and I woke up late cause I stayed up posting late last night cause sleep won't come till I did. I must have eaten something acidic on Saturday so there .. could also be that I had too much coffee. It was half an hour before lunch time when we got up so we didn't have much time to spend outside. The earth goes on a dim light mode as early as 16:00 on this side of the earth.
We wanted to go out though so I suggested this place. We left at past 15:00 and we were excited cause there, we could play chess though we weren't able to this time cause we didn't expect the situation we ran into when we got there.
It was unusually full house so instead of usually going around first, we decided to go directly to the resto to have our lunch there. It was full house so I had to wait for our table and thought of using D Eye to capture the thumbnail of this post.
I was hoping to get seated next to the glass doors and not in the lounge cause there, you won't get that view plus light is essential you probably guess why that is. Lunch came and I had a Caezar salad and hubby got himself a salmon bagel with vegie chips.
In between late lunch we'd laugh at some birds outside or get distracted with whichever group of people standing on the bridge. Lunch won't be complete without coffee and my favorite apple pie with freshly whipped cream. I wonder how the chef makes his whipped cream, I don't like whipped cream but this one is really different - sugarless and perfect in every way. 10% up on whoever gets to guess which coffee I had it with.
After lunch, we went to do what we went there for - take a stroll. I wasn't able to use D Eye anymore cause the light has already left us and switching lens would be much of a bother but hey, my A3 2016 has managed to still capture this on the bridge though you can no longer see the ducks that were actually floating there close to the banks, probably already sleeping.
When we got back to the clearing it's half for six but the sun has already set. No one was playing chess but it's cold and pretty dark so we decided to just go around and drive back home later. Funny that we got home pretty late for dinner, too it was half past 8 and I still have to make dinner.
Now, with all the clues I gave you using those pics, can you find the first post I made about this place? 15% upvote to the first one who'd get there. If someone's already found it, it's game over. You may only guess once. Finger's crossed, someone finds it while am online. If you do, paste the post url below. Now, this part isn't high lighted so let's see who's really reading.don't bother looking - it's been revealed ;)
So, how was your weekend? Mine's like ... everything's late .. from breakfast to dinner and probably going to bed but overall it's been just usual, lazy and great !
EDIT 2 : since no one else aside from @bleujay bothered to look the post up using the pics I gave below here it is. Had you used the pics you would have found it cause I had a day light version of the reflection pic there ;)
This content's 100% mine. I took those 2 top and 2 bottom pics with my Nikon D3400 + AF-S NIKKOR 55-200mm VR II, all cropped and the rest with my Samsung Galaxy A3, 2013.

Thank you for posting dear @englishtchrivy.
Lovely....beautiful... nostalgic photographs of what looks like a very pleasant day out....so very European.
The link below is not the post of the lovely sculptures at the park and the larger than life chess pieces...this seemed to be as far back as Steem would let bleujay go....apologies for not bringing it this way. I have hoped you would post again from that lovely place.......I did not come across the lily pond reflections either which were so beautiful.....however the frosted leaves were good to see again as was the sentimental journey through your posts....... ^__^
The coffee.........French Roast.... or Sandringham blend which is smokey....either one would be quite the accompaniment to an apple dish.
All the best to you. A bientot...mon ami.

It looks delicious on your photos even if it is winter, here in Fredrikstad (Norway) it continues to snow and now everything is covered by the beautiful white.
My wife and I have had a nice evening Saturday at the concert "Everything from The Beatles 1967" but hehe it was not Beatles who played, but we loved it.
thank you :)
and thank you for sharing your weekend with your wife
it sounds like fun, too
I love their songs!
I wish I could play them on the guitar but I can't yet
some day .. some day haha
stay warm you two!
that winter spell is heading this way, too
but am waiting for it excitedly
I love snowy days ..I despise the feel though :D
About a month ago you wrote about the church with the elevator. The food pics here remind me of the ones from that post. No matter, as long as you had a good time.
I spent my Sunday producing a new mini documentary for Steemit about a medieval church. Watch out for it in the coming days - it's pretty neat.
unfortunately it's not the same place
I do remember something about that elevator though sorry I forgot that I promised to tell you what's the deal with that - here's it : they're the only church in the whole EU with a panorama lift
that's just that
sounds like you had a productive weekend
cheers to that!
"not the same place" - Just a guess, win some, lose some, better luck next time :-)
I forgot to write something
thanks for reminding me !
?
sorry, I wrote it on the post
night!
a good post and interesting, what else with our loved ones are always accompanied and go together on a holiday. Enjoy the atmosphere of dinner dinner together so that adds to the intimacy in the family
Nice post to read for the day interesting pics you shared too
I think this place is so romantic :D
I love that place.
This looks like the place where you took The Greedy Duck photos.
Oh! I just got back from my weekend. I see that You also enjoyed Your time :) Sometimes you can afford to relax a little. Your Apple pie with whipped cream looks delicious. The pastry chef of this restaurant did a good job. I would add to it a Cup of Cappuccino. M-mmm yummy! A nice walk after dinner. I especially liked the photo where the water is like a mirror and the lights on the shore. It is in twilight? Very nice! I am pleased to see the green grass, because we have everything covered with snow. Thank you for Your story. I wish You a good start to a new week.
thank you
no it isn't cappuccino though I sometimes take that when the resto I go into doesn't have my favorite coffee
Your weekend is amazing even if your words are simple, but when you describe them, it's amazing. Who knows one day I can visit the city that you love it.
My best friend :)
