I too wanted to do this trip until I saw the prices and other requirements. @caribbeanmon , I'm not sure I would want to have to dress up all the time, and not to mention the horrific cost. I think I will skip this one and do the trans siberian express instead, a fraction of the cost and less formal. But I guess, each to their own. Thanks, that was a very interesting read.
