Typhoon Jebi

in #storm7 years ago

Japan is currently being rocked by the strongest typhoon to hit in awhile. It seems like the word is this is the strongest one to hit since 1993. It's a doozie. My area (Eastern Aichi) is getting it's fair share of flooding and wind damage, but it is nothing compared to some places. Here are some photos and videos from nippon.com's twitter feed (link at the end of this post).

edit: I tried embedding some of the videos from their twitter feed, but evidently Steemit doesn't support it. Oh well. Head to the twitter feed to see some wild video, including roofs being blown off, cars being blown around like toys, and the Osaka airport completely flooded.

Wheeee... fun times. Let's just hope it doesn't get much worse.

Here is the link to their twitter page so you can see more.

Hi thereDavid LaSpina is an American photographer lost in Japan, trying to capture the beauty of this country one photo at a time. More?

Saw the news and it was terrible. Kansai airport was like flooded and totally cut of from the main land.
