Market Summary

Previous Post (February 4)

I am still maintaining my short term bearish but long term bullish outlook from January 31. The stock market had a major run this month and now seems to be correcting. It would not surprise me if February or March ends up being a volatile month. I will keep my eye on the US dollar, as it has developed an inverse relationship against the S&P 500 over the last couple months. Even after the market selloff this week, I think the market needs to correct some more before it will be ready for another major run.

Today's Post

It turns out that my bearish sentiment I held since the end of January has turned out to be correct. While I did not predict such a swift and drastic correction, I still felt like the market was due for a pullback. I think we will start to see a lot more buyers in the market once the SPY hits the 200 day MA.

Stocks to Watch

ALB

I have talked about ALB in a few of my posts now. Last sunday I said to buy at $104.00-$105.00. It has held this support even despite the selloff in the broad market.
