Robinhood is hands down way better than anything else you can use unless you spend the time to research what you are doing. My coworkers are still stuck in the old ways of buying stocks through the bank, which is insane! Also I have found that most financial advisers are a scam and will direct the unsuspecting towards high fee index funds, don't fall for that trap.
