Steemvoter Guild: "Nominate-a-Friend" for the Guild Vote!

in #steemvoter8 years ago

Winning post from yesterday - New Study: Vitamin D Might Decrease Risk Of Cancer by @doitvoluntarily

The "Nominate-a-Friend" Steemvoter (SV) Guild program.

So how does it work? Simple ... reply with a comment to this post with the link to another Steemian's post you think deserves the daily Steemvoter guild upvote, you are welcome to motivate in the reply why you think they deserve it.

The reply with the highest upvote $ value will be the winner and the post nominated in that reply will receive the guild upvote, which as you may have seen from previous posts, is a generous upvote from over 500 guild members, giving $30 dollars or more to the author depending on starting value.

Please make sure your nomination follows these guidelines:

Basic Guidelines

  • You cannot submit your own post or that of your other related accounts that you own or share ownership in, if you are found or reported to do this and substantially verified, your and your related accounts will be blacklisted from future guild vote eligibility.

  • No religious, NSFW, racist, trolling, fake news or inappropriate posts will be considered, in which case runner's up will be selected. @steemvoter has the final word as to which post is selected for the daily vote.

  • We will not vote the same author in a seven-day window.

  • Cut-off time: We will choose the highest value comment nomination within the last 4 hours of our post being active. Please try to submit posts that are not more than 3 hours older than this announcement post. However we won't be very strict on that and may still vote on paid-out posts depending on circumstances.

  • This is not about curation rewards for the guild members and getting in early on the vote etc, it is purely to reward the deserving author.

  • @steemvoter will consider this a free market experiment and we will facilitate the voting of the post that the community wants voted, without checking for PLG of content, photos and artwork. At our discretion, blatantly inappropriate posts will not be voted on however.

  • This is a beta guild project and terms are subject to change at any time.

Let's make Steem great ... together!!

Since nobody else has nominated anything, I'm going to nominate this intro post: https://steemit.com/introducemyself/@luciuspaine/childhood-traumas-drug-abuse-and-uncle-sam-s-solution

This newcomer to our community has an amazing story of hardship to tell, and I can't think of a better way to welcome him to Steemit than by giving him today's guild vote.

Congrats, your nomination was selected for the guild vote! Their post should be voted on by our guild shortly.

@steemvoter when I visit steemvoter.com I get a warning that the site isn't secure. Are the certs up to date? Google Chrome Windows 10. I'm hesitant to log in in case it's MITM happening. Thank you.

Edit: Tried Edge browser and SSL is fine. Any idea what's happening in Chrome?

They should be. I tried just now with Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 on Windows 10 and didn't get any warning. But I don't have the latest version of Chrome installed so could be some problem with the new version. If you're at all worried about it, just use the Edge browser for now and we'll look into it.

Thank you for the heads up. I'm also able to bring up the site in Chrome on a couple other PCs without warnings. Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit)

Just performed the update on one of them to Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit) and it began getting the same warning. So it's the new version of Chrome doing it.

Heh, if only things worked that way! We'd love to help out everybody, but unfortunately have to limit our efforts to a deserving few. Which is why it's important for the community to help us decide who those lucky few will be. There's still time to get in a nomination if you want!
