Please, please be specific with your video editor// Daily Vlogging Challenge Day 10
Note, this challenge is intended for these platforms. Steemit's no longer attached to a video platform like DTube. I upload it to YT, unlist the video, and embed it on these platforms. This challenge is indefinite, until I achieve my goals of building my first gaming rig and getting my first used car.
Day 10 of my daily vlogging challenge to achieve my goals.
I've been wanting to get into freelance editing.. I added "video editor for hire" as my display name on Twitter to make it easier for clients. One guy reached out on behalf of his friend, who needed someone to edit together some clips. Also being autistic and needing clear instructions/understanding, I asked the person to put together a small script of what they wanted to be done to the video ( eg, when X jumps, add a zoom, when Y dunks the ball, make the picture shake)
I made some samples and sent them to the guy for their friend. They messaged me back after reviewing the clips and unanimously agreed they liked sample C, but the friend was concerned about the transitions (there was no mention of transitions in the convo.), and the friend didn't want to pay for something that looks like "simple edits."
This is a common misconception when it comes to edits. Yeah, it "looks" simple. If you open an editor to do those so-called "simple edits' you learn that you need to know what the features do
Also, it's their fault they didn't like the edit. I asked multiple times for a guild to give me visuals.
I will modify the challenge by looking for older videos I don't remember posting, remastering/remaking older videos, etc
