STARTING POINT
The child's growth in the mother's womb goes through two successive stages: embryogenesis, then organogenesis. In fact this separation is a little artificial, in the sense that everything is built at the same time, some organs like the heart being already recognizable very early.

THE FIRST DAYS
The fertilization results in a cell single, egg, which has in it the germs of the future baby.

This cell is called totipotent, which means that it is the repository of the initial genetic material. By the time of delivery, no other genetic material other than that found in this initial cell will be introduced into the cells to modify its evolution. The egg is usually formed in one of the tubes .

After 24 hours, this cell will first divide into two identical cells, which will also divide into two, and so on. We end up in 3 or 4 days at the stage of a few cells which are even in number: it is the stage of morula, that is to say of a small microscopic blackberry. This cluster of cells is only a few microns. At this stage, it is usually at the end of the tube, just at the entrance to the uterus . He is always free, that is, he has not yet implanted in the lining of the uterus.

The moment of conception as we had never seen it, with photographs that reveal one of the most amazing miracles of life :

the moment in which one of the sperm gets to fertilize the ovum, after a difficult path not without obstacles.

In these first photographs, we see the advance of the sperm towards the fallopian tubes. The race begins with millions of them. But most will die. Only the strongest and the fastest get their goal . The sperm that manage to reach the ovule weakens the ovule's wall. Only one will be able to enter. The miracle of life begins.

... These show the first moment after fertilization and the first days of the fertilized embryo . In the second photograph, the embryo is only 8 days old. The third picture shows us what the future brain of the baby will be.

24 days after fertilization, shows how the skeleton of the baby begins to form . The next two photographs portray the baby in its sixth and seventh week of pregnancy.

The baby, in his 10th week, already has his fingers formed , but not fully developed. Nine more weeks, and already they are appreciated until the nails. In the last photograph, we see the baby with 24 weeks.

the baby in his 20th week,you can see how he puts his finger to his mouth , a second photograph that shows how the baby begins to pick up on himself in the absence of space in the uterus, in his week 26.
