Ever heard of the sayings HEALTH IS WEALTH and AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY. Well this are not just sayings but they actually apply to our daily lives.
Today lets talk about vegetables and our health. In our everyday usage, vegetables are certain parts of plants that are consumed by humans as food as part of a savory meal i.e. tasty meal.
Vegetables can be eaten either raw or cooked and they play an important role in human nutrition, being mostly low in fat and carbohydrates, but high in vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber. Health practitioners and Nutritionist always encourage people to consume much fruit and vegetables, five or more portions a day often being recommended.
Vegetables play an important role in human nutrition. Most are low in fat and calories but are bulky and filling. Dietary fiber are been supplied by vegetables and are important sources of essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements, particularly important are the antioxidant vitamins A, C and E.
When vegetables are included in the diet, there is found to be a reduction in the incidence of cancer, stroke, cardiovascular diseases and other chronic ailments.

Vegetables that are eaten raw should be handled and properly cleaned and stored to limit contamination as hygiene is important for such so as not to cause gastrointestinal infections.

Living healthy should be our topmost desire. The healthier we are the less we spend. Wise spending also applies in this respect in such way that if we eat right and do away with bad habits like SMOKING, DRINKING and TAKING HARD DRUGS, we can reduce the rate at which our organs r overused and the need to spend unnecessarily will not arise...
So living healthy should be our topmost priority, cos a sick person can't fulfil his or her dreams...
