This is a subject that I have thought about for some time, our purpose.

In my opinion, our purpose could be whatever we want it to be, but I like to think about our species as something that have huge potential, so our purpose could be to gather every knowledge there is on the universe, to understand absolutely everything, and ultimately to become a race of Gods (because if you know and understand everything, that would be like having God-like power).

So that would be our purpose if you asked. And the only way to achieve it is through science discoveries and technology innovations.
