RE: Mental Disorders, Their Symptoms and Their Treatments - Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)
Hello @abumaryam :)
This is a good post about a highly complex disorder that is misunderstood and (shockingly) even disregarded by some mental health professionals. I like how you organised your post and addressed the classic historical case of Jeanne Ferry, the best options of psychological treatment, and he use of medications for treating comorbid conditions such as anxiety. Additionally, I found particularly important, the way you discussed trauma as the cause for DID.
As for the movie ... what I liked the most about it was McAvoy's acting :)
All the best,
Abigail
Thank you very much @abigail-dantes for stopping by. To the majority of the populace, DID is either a myth or a simply a demonoc possession that should be attended to by exorcism. It is also true that some mental health professionals also disregard the disorder due to the fact that they hard come across them.
Thank you very much for your commendations, I do appreciate.
