‘DA Bears’ are facing off against ‘The Boys’ in this week’s SNF (Sunday Night Football) Matchup. If you weren’t aware of it already, SNF takes place every Sunday night during the NFL season on the NBC channel, attracting over 23 million viewers, according to 2015 statistics through week 9 of the NFL season.

The game will be aired on NBC on Sunday night at:

7:30 PM Central Time (12:30 AM UTC)
8:30 PM Eastern Time (11:30 PM UTC)
5:30 PM West Coast Time (2:30 PM UTC)

Below is a brief synopsis of the teams that will be playing.

Chicago Bears

The Bears whom are 0-2 are having a rough start to the season. The Bears might just have the most horrific offensive line in the NFL and Cutler is having a terrible start to his season; as he has had every single year he has been a part of the Bears organization.

On a good note, Alshon Jeffery is doing very well this year, although he doesn’t have any touchdowns on his record, he has set up many touchdowns for the running back, Jeremy Langford.

On the defensive end, the Bears are a work in progress, not very good this year to say the least. The Bears recently released veteran kicker, Robbie Gould, for the free agent, Connor Barth whom already shanked a field goal.

On this upcoming Sunday, it looks as if Jay Cutler will be out so that means the veteran quarterback, Brian Hoyer, will pick up the start.

In conclusion, the Bears will most definitely be a work in progress, with the odds currently stacked against them. However should they pull off a victory, those who bet on The Bears will make good 'bank'.

Dallas Cowboys

'The Boys' are having a decent year so far through two games their record stands at 1-1. The rookie, Dak Prescott, is the starting quarterback this year taking the place of the injured, Tony Romo.

Dak Prescott is doing a fantastic job carrying the team down the field and letting the running game put the ball into the endzone. The two “top-notch” receivers, Dez Bryant and Cole Beasley are fitting in better than ever with Dak Prescott’s ability to find them for yard gains.

Another rookie, Ezekiel Elliot, has been 'lighting up' the run game with a touchdown in each game the team has played.

Lastly, Dan Bailey, the kicker has been very impressive this year while making 6 field goals in two games! The Cowboys seem to be one of the top teams this year and for many years to come with the talented rookies on the team.

How to Play

  • Vote on the main post as an entrance fee (The main post rewards get added to the total bet pool, by voting more than once you are helping grow the pool to help distribute more SP to the community).

  • Cast your vote on ONLY ONE comment which you bet on for the win.

  • After 24 hours the post and related game comments will in current conditions, pay out 50% liquid Steem Dollars after the 25% voters rewards are deducted from the main post value.

  • 30% of the resultant payout will be retained by the account, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.

  • 70% of the liquid payout will be converted to Steem over 7 days, using the internal conversion mechanism and held in trust until the future outcome is determined.

  • Once the event comes to pass and the winning outcome determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to mass distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.

  • Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote in support of the redistribution initiative.

  • @steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.

I hate the Cowboys but I feel like you'd have to be an idiot to vote for the Bears.

Next week let's get a game not so lopsided.

Yeah it's a pity this weekend's game is lopsided as you mention, I laugh the Bears win though :) will have another game for you next week, please spread the word to encourage us to keep doing this.

I've already reblogged my friend. It's a great idea. Side bet that the Bears won't win? Lol

looool!! I love it, this is bringing the community together just like the billboards!

I agree. It is a nobrainer :). In the future they should use handicap market to make the chances more balanced.

At least people can win SP easily on SteemSports :)

But all ties lose would KILL this lol.

@silversurfer , cool we got a super hero wagering people! Where's @wolverine, I want his vote also! :)

Unfortunately @wolverine isn't much of the gambling type. You didn't hear this from me but he is pretty straight edge...

Haha, I'm sure @gambit would be keen! We may do some poker game bets in his honour! :)

Both comments say for choosing Bears...

Nice catch, I had to load the comments quickly so small mistake happened, fixed now. Thanks so much!

Not a problem. Good luck with the post

"I pray to god the cowboys win"

(possibly NSFW and offensive. Probably actually)

(I'm actually Canadian this post just made me think this)

Haha, would you like to present some Canadian games on SteemSports? If so contact me thecryptodrive on steemit.chat.

how about the world cup of hockey final? teams are still tbd but we'll know by Sunday. Final game series will be Tuesday Sep 27 Thurs Sep 29, and Sat Oct 1 (if necessary)!

Would you like to present hockey? If you do, contact me thecryptodrive in steemit.chat. We could probably gear up to cover the games on Thursday and Sat, Tuesday may be a bit soon to onboard a new writer for hockey.

briliant idea

This is awesome! Thanks for doing it! When do the bets close?

Yeehaw for the Cowboys!

Even though I don't follow sports at all this is very exciting to see, and I will try to participate as best I can (even though apparently my rep isn't high enough yet, oh well). Really looking forward to see this project grow!

This is the sort of thing that starts to get you into sports. If you win with the Bears pick you stand to win big.

Well I already voted for the Cowboys because my grandma is a big fan and she seems pretty excited about them lately 😄

Dude you are so close, your rep is almost there! You can still vote anyway. Thanks for participating. Let me try help your rep and vote this comment with a few accounts.

Wow thanks for the rep increase! Didn't know it was from commenting, I guess I should comment more!

Well it's from people voting your comments and posts in general, it's basically based on activity. Get active buddy! :)

That's all the votes I can give, can anyone else vote this guy's comment to take him to 35 Rep!

Very cool initiative!! I'll definitely be playing along!

Better pick with me Bernie or I'll definitely be kickin' that ass.

#beatbernie

Woah, awesome I think this is my first @berniesanders comment! Thanks for your support, can I write you down as a campaign supporter along with @complexring (already included above in footer)?

Please reach out to me in steemit.chat.

That's what I like to hear, bernie... I will most definitely be creating more of these! Football, Baseball, and Basketball. I am glad that you are supporting this iniative! :)

Bernie On!

You did ... well done... clown of the year trophy :)

Edit: lol I see now :D

PS. I don't watch a lot of NFL, I'm the european football kinda guy. :P

Would we be able to see some Premier League bets on @steemsports as well? :)

I would love to see premier league and some other "soccer" leagues here.

I vote for Dallas. The Bears are way too beat up to win this one.

Cowboys defeat Bears 24 to 13

Then vote on the main post and then on the Cowboys comment, that's how you play!

I wonder if in addition to this you might offer another contest where users can submit a winning team, score and then total yards passed for for a certain sbd percentage.

Or have people pick against the spread each game (if they allow surveys that will let you select one or the other) and the winner gets a certain sbd as well.

Excited to see this and like that many can win. Great initiative that allows you to make money along with others and have fun watching great sports!

Thanks so much @bendjmiller222, that means a lot. We have tried to use the comments creatively, it is difficult to innovate much more with comments, a bit restrictive. With the UFC fighting we however thought of having two extra comments, where you vote if you think a particular fighter will win by a knockout.

If you have some ideas on how we can use comments to make things more fun and how it can be done, please contact me (thecryptodrive) in steemit.chat.

Thanks for playing!

Very cool! I will let you know if I think up a way. I'm excited to see more sports gaining popularity on steemit. When I wrote about the UFC I think it was possibly the second martial arts related post I had seen and now @daut44 covers them quite frequently with his wealth of knowledge

Oh wow that's cool, you must know @cryptoiskey then, he is big into UFC and will be writing for us.
