Gameweek 1 in the Italian Serie A didn’t come with any major upset as teams that were expected to get all three points delivered. The Milan teams recorded comfortable 3-0 victories against their opponents. Last season’s champions Juventus also recorded a 3-0 victory against Cagliari. The attacking Napoli also recorded a comfortable victory against new boys Verona. Another newly promoted team SPAL drew with Lazio, while Benevento lost 2-1 against Sampdoria.
