The Cavaliers hosted the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH. This is the Nugget’s second game of a back-to-back, coming off a road win in Memphis on Friday night. The Cavs have won four of their last six games heading into Saturday night’s contest.
Both teams started off playing each other even up through the first half of the quarter. With the game tied at 15, Denver when on a 20-10 run to build a ten-point lead, ending the quarter up six. In the second quarter, the Cavs went on runs of 7-2 run to pull within two. The Nuggets countered with a 26-14 run late in the quarter to build a fourteen-point lead, finishing the frame with a 73-62 lead.

Denver held their lead throughout the third quarter, only allowing Cleveland to get within four late in the quarter, ultimately taking a six-point lead into the fourth quarter. Both teams struggled on offense in the final period. Denver, holding a seven-point lead with just over seven minutes, failed to convert on a field goal for five minutes, which ended with a Paul Milsap three pointer with two and a half minutes remaining in the game to take a 118-114 lead.
Unfortunately for Cleveland, they were unable to take advantage of Denver’s poor shooting. Cleveland’s JR Smith made a step back jump shot with just under seven minutes left. After which, the Cavs were unable to make a field goal. With less than a minute left Cleveland finally ended their streak of no field goals when Lebron James finished dunk in the lane. By that time, the Nuggets had just finished a 12-0 run to put an end to Cleveland’s hopes, finishing with a 126-117 road victory.

Gary Harris led Denver with 32 points, including six three-pointers. Will Barton chipped in 23 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Lebron James carded a triple-double (25p, 10r, 15a), leading seven players in double-digit scoring in the loss.

Good

You can say that again!

Alright alright alright...it's March..i'll admit i'm a little scared for the Cavs. They look like a team assembled a month ago. Stagnant movement, turnovers from miscommunication and defensive lapses on the regular. That said...Love being out plays a huge role in the Cavs misfortunes. He was playing his best basketball in years before he went down, hopeflly he can come back with the same power. Eastern Conference playoffs should be verryyyy interesting..Cavs might might a first round exit if things go too bad.

Incredible what a skill feeling proud
