Whoa! I've heard that a neutron stars (the thing left over after a supernova) is very possibly a massively dense carbon crystal -- or diamond!

The reality of what we know about space seems, ironically, un-realistic.

Well it's 2017 and were just confirming the origin of an element that's been known about since the dawn of man. Our knowledge just of our earth is about the size of a grain of sand on a beach compared to what we know about the universe.. we don't know much :)
