how annoying is it when you have an important question that you know you will never find the answer to.....
it was a dark and stormy night, the wind howled like something demented, the burning bright flash of lightening illuminated the tattered wreck of a man long dead and solemnly searching, endlessly searching, muttering, cursing, searching.
the spittle drenched curses aimed at no one present spewed forth from an empty space and punctuated by the rumble of thunder the rattling of his dry old bones can be heard off in the distance as he continues for eternity his fruitless search.
his hate filled speech is filled with vitriol, cursing and threats emanate from the space above his neck, the promise of causing untold amounts of harm to a certain man he met once and the bangle covered boney wrist rose in the rain drenched night and his gold ringed boney fingers punched the unresisting air as he bellowed
I will find it!
this poor man doomed to an eternal search is Pierre LeBlanc, we are in the 19th century and Pierre works for Jean Lafitte, a french pirate. Jean LaFitte buried his treasure of jewels, gold, and other precious items on Treasure Island in the Tampa Bay area of Florida.
In order to protect his booty, Jean LaFitte chose one of his minions (Pierre) to watch over his treasure and ensure that no thieves would steal it. To help Pierre's watch over the treasure, LaFitte gave him a palomino horse to ride up and down the coast. One day a stranger came to Treasure Island and was supposedly hunting for snakes in order to sell the skins. Leblanc, being lonely, became drunk with the strange man and trusted him enough. He took his horse and walked away from the stranger, but in the morning the strange man found Leblanc laying on top of one of the chests with the treasure inside. In the end, a fight ensued and Leblanc lost his head and the stranger made off with Lafitte's treasure.
Poor Pierre doomed to wander aimlessly for eternity, never able to rest, cursing and moaning and only one constant quest
where is my head?
