Thank you for taking the trouble to list the 40 applicants.
But please let me tell you how terrible I find your sorting by SP!
This makes the users / readers - once again - immediately that SP is the most important here.

I am uncomfortable being at the top of this chart. A neutral table would go by alphabet or by time of receipt of applications. Only a neutral table allows the reader to think for himself, to interpret for himself.
I'm sorry you felt that way! I'm not sure which factor has the most effect on selecting the candidates (I'm certain each aspect has its significance). However, I just considered SP due to the fact that @steemitblog has mentioned the delegation increment based on SP. Hence the list was arranged from the highest SP to the lowest. Also 15,000 SP minimum requirement can be clearly seen in the list.
We all see things from different perspectives! Someone's has to be at the top, and in this case it's you. I'm once again sorry for that because this is just my interpretation and, You & I both know that Steemit Team will consider various factors before selecting the best candidates.
No problem, no need for justifications.
You acted with good intentions and I was just responding honestly to a "sore point" that has been bothering me since I first entered the Steem.... ;-)
It's better to call a spade a spade, even if not everyone likes it.
That's how it will be and that's how it's good. May every decision have a positive impact on our community!

Terrible, uncomfortable, those words needed a justification and I really felt bad for you. Now I'm happy that you understood my intention and I too know what cause the comment.
