Cándida María

Greetings friends steemians! Continuing with the work that I have been doing these last days through our favorite platform, today I bring you a new musical arrangement by Maestro Rafael Suárez. This is the third track on Volume 1 of the Quinteto Contrapunto, Popular and Folk Music of Venezuela, released in 1962, and it is about Cándida María.

 

This joropo with five voices has become one of the favorites of the audience, and today I share the original audio, played by Soprano Aída Navarro, Mezzo-Soprano Morella Muñoz, Tenor Jesús Sevillano, Bajo Domingo Mendoza and of course Rafael Suárez as the Baritone of the group.

 

This original recording was made in Caracas, Venezuela under the seal of the Polydor company and in its time it won the Golden Star award ...
