Ice Cream Art
My daughter has been making characters out of her food for years now. As an example, she'll arrange her breakfast plate to look like a face, with bacon lips, eggs for hair, biscuit halves for eyes, and filling in nose, ears and other details with fruit or ketchup. I never really was a fan of kids playing with their food. I'd rather they just eat it. But she enjoys doing it, and it does make her more likely to eat it one her creation is complete.
I thought this one was pretty cute that she made from her ice cream, colored sugar, chocolate chips, and candy button eyes.
Incidentally, can anyone identify the character on the outside of the mug? It's a bit hard to see because of the angle, but there's an SBI share in it for the first correct answer.
Did the candy buttons come with the eyes drawn on them or is that her creation with something like writing icing? If they come like that, I've never seen that before. That's pretty cool. If she did it, she did a good job not smudging it.
Is that one of the Berenstain bears? I remember not that long ago there was stuff going around the internet about that because everyone remembers it as Berenstein but it is actually Berenstain. Interestingly beyond more recently seeing articles breaking down the whole phenomenon of so many people remembering something like the name wrong, I can't completely remember if these characters were part of my childhood or not. I think I may have been a little too young to see the cartoon of it (unless it replayed for quite a while after that is), but I think we may have had the books. We definitely had books with bears at least, and the characters did look familiar before reading all about the "name thing", so mostly because they look familiar and we had a few books, I think we probably did have some of the books, but I also know that's not the only bear books we had as my older sister had a Teddy Ruxpin plus I know we both watched The Care Bears too (and our Dad had a video from a time he was on TV from something to do with his work and one of us taped over it with an episode of the Care Bears of all things).
Is it a barenstein bear?
Cute little ice cream creature. Kids are nuts. 😄
