RE: Splinterlands: Game Economy Analysis - How Bots Are Making Tournaments Unsustainable
I remember complaining a long time ago about the fact that all it would take is one investor to ruin the entire game. Everybody laughed at me and said,"why would anybody spend that much money just to ruin the game?" I responded with, it may be because it's competition oh, I didn't think it would be a disgruntled player. But I think it doesn't matter because the end result is the same. However, the devs (or anyone else) at that time didn't seem to think it was a big deal, and that it wouldn't happen... Or more like that it couldn't. I saw this coming a long time ago, so I'm not surprised. It is also why I quit playing as a human, and got a bot as well. How am I supposed to compete with this level ignorance, especially when it's not only allowed, but accepted by the devs. So I bot away because it is the only way to try to keep up. Because it's not just J6969.... I would dare venture to say that most all accounts (anymore anywAy) are botted in one way or another. If I had to guess, maybe 10 to 15% of the players are actually (only)people playing. You were there, when I would cry and complain about the bot issue. and I believe that you may even have said that it wasn't that big of a deal as well. So I don't know what else to do, but if the devs support it that I will use a bot. I want the game to succeed more than anything, and the bots are a means of taking away from that.
