Hello there,

Today has been an amazing and rewarding day for me as I got to learn a lot of transforming stuffs. To start with, I'm the secretary of the youth department in my local church so, from time to time, we do organize summits and educational conferences. So, today we hosted a Leadership Training Summit and the theme was: Facing the Future! That was a very timely theme looking at the state of things in the world today.

The summit began at about 10am GMT and ended by 2:10pm with me being the moderator. There were three speakers who spoke for an average duration of 1 hour each and on different subject matters. The summit began with a song and prayers session led by me. Sequel to this was the first speaker. He talked about knowing God (Jesus) as the first step to facing the future. Furthermore, he stated that, one must know "who he is"; by that he meant knowing purpose.

The second speaker then dwelled on being able to grab defining moments when they come. He talked largely on the dangers of procrastination and laziness. He encouraged the young persons to build value as they prepare for the future. He also noted that, one should always possess the right mindset and keep the right company if he must have a beautiful future ahead.

In the end, everyone was admonished to not just hear the teachings rather they should put them into practice. It was indeed a rewarding moment and I took lots of notes. In fact, just after the summit, I grabbed Brain Tracy's book; The Power of Self-discipline and I intend completing reading in a week's time.

Here are some shots I took with friends

Sort:

I read recently that British people procrastinate for roughly 2 hours per day. You got some top notch advice today.

Yeah..

It's a great advice that I have taken for myself.
