SteemLeo with High Ambitions and Moving Fast

in #steemleo5 years ago (edited)

SteemLeo was announced just a week ago and take everyone by surprise. Quite a nice one since they did airdrop and a lot of people got free tokens.

Great First Step

The SteemLeo airdrop was smart. Very smart. They airdropped the token to the PAL stake holders. More precisely to the ones that staked PAL. The PAL tokens were already claimdroped to a selected community. They needed to be claimed, then powered up. The last info was that around 40% of the PAL tokens were claimed. Not all of them staked. This was a very nice filter to allocate the users who are the most active on the platform. Even further the once who are staking their tokens and not dumping. The most loyal Steemians out there. Nice. Great userbase to start with!

Full Package

As a steem-engine platform SteemLeo already have the full package with everything the platform has to offer:

  • Dedicated user interface steemleo.com,
  • Tokens distribution through voting,
  • Tokens delegation (LEO tokens),
  • Digital miners, LEOM and LEOMM,
  • LeoTube,
  • Promoting posts with burning LEO,

I may forget something 😊, but you got the picture. All the features that are available through steem-engine, they have it right away.

Targeting an attractive community

Since this is a platform for investors things can be quite interesting. Overall there is a lot of buzz about investing in the crypto world. Where to invest? What is the hot new thing? What is the ROI? ….. The investment topic is hand in hand with crypto. Basically, everyone that is on some sort of social media and is talking about crypto, in a large portion are talking about investing. So here you go. Now you have a special place to do that. Whales are welcomed as well 😊.

Creating Sinks

If you follow Aggored you will know how important sinks are. As he is stating 10% of the value of the token comes from the fidget (the way you earn it, blogging, gaming etc..) and exit the system trough sinks. Sinks give the token around 90% of its value. So, having sinks, multiple of them, a way how to spend, burn the token is of absolute importance. Just have a look how many sinks the DEC token from Steemmonsters have. You can use it in multiple ways, a minimum of 5: buy potions, orbs, skins, gifts, or sell it.

As already mentioned promothing posts by burning LEO tokens is one sink.
Yesterday they announed the second one Introducing the Leo Bid Bot Sink!

It is a special kind of bot. A good one.

The Leo Voting bot is not an ordinary bot. It recieves bids in LEO tokens and then distributes those tokens to SP delegators while simultaneously burning it's proportion (based on the bot's native Steem Power -- currently ~20,000SP and rising fast).

Basically you can buy votes in STEEM by sending LEO to the @leo.voter account. Then the tokens are distributed to the delegators. But the share of the tokens that need to be distributed to the SP of the @leo.voter account will get burned.

At the end of the posts they mentioned that more sinks are coming. Can’t wait for those. At least 5 will do the job, 2 down 3 more to go.

Having the possibility to delegate LEO is also a nice thing, since there is a probability for new services to emerge from this option, offering rewards for LEO delegation, and locking tokens with that.

Going Beyond the Steem User base

The SteemLeo creator @khaleelkazi has stated that there are plans to go after users outside of the Steem userbase. This is very important, as for now, all of the new projects are using the same userbase. This is providing a fast and easy way to start with, but having new users coming is essential. Their plans for marketing and promoting the platform. All good stuff.

At the end a quick chart on the activity on the platform. Number of posts and comments.

On average around 600 daily activity. Not bad for a one-week old platform. More than 1000 users have used the #steemleo tag in this period.

Also, a post for me about the possibility for investing on Steem, June edition. Will need to updated that one soon 😊.

All the best

Detailed posts indeed. If indeed we are able to create some more of those sinks then surely it will provide the tokens more value . As to what I know the inflation will be going down slowly as well.

Thanks ... sinks are important and it takes time as well :)

Your example of DEC from splinterlands was very good. I knew about burning cards for DEC but had no clue that buying orbs and potions also burned those tokens.
