RE: We Can't Have Anything Nice: A Warning to My Fellow Steemitzombies Users
Some people apparently have nothing better to do than go around enforcing their own brand of Steemit doctrine on others. If that sounds just a little too strong for this, it's intentional.
I really don't have a problem with cheetah or other bots, humans, looking for genuine plagiarism, especially but not limited to instances where its actually hurting someone financially. I still believe in the need for copyright laws, now more than ever, since more and more people think it's their right to grab simply because the work exists, and they can.
However, when it's yours, it's yours, and you should be able to post it wherever you want.
That said, even i know what a steemitzombies post is meant to do, and anyone with half a brain (pun intended) and even less ambition to figure things out would see that the tag has a purpose. But I suppose for a Steemit zealot, where code is king, the fact posts are designed only to last seven days here makes that out of bounds.
Truth. Those types remind me of the childern who would run to tell a teacher that someone was doing something that they don't like in the hope of causing them trouble.
I wasn't super upset about the bot (it upvoted me) but the accusation was what worried me. People read that comment and it makes my work look tainted. Plus it was a pretty good post and it deserved to be seen by more than the 7 or 8 people who saw it last month.
Just keep doing it. Until the evergreen problem gets solved via code, the rest of us will just have to keep coming up with ways of getting more eyeballs on our work. If they won't do it, then we do it. Isn't that the way it's supposed to work around here anyway? :)
