Steemit sandwich contest week 32: my childhood dessert
As a child growing in Asia, dessert are simple, delicious and most importantly CHEAP!! As a child from a average family we are not giving money to spend on dessert or what we call " junk food". The money is only for lunch meal, thus we call it "lunch money". The only way we could enjoy such sweet joy is to accumulate months and month of our leftover lunch money. Sometimes when we are craving for it badly, we would just skip lunch and go straight to the sweets. Of course, our parents could not know that or we would get some serious beating, and I meant "SERIOUS " beating. ( just how most Asian parents discipline their child). One of the most affordable sweets is the ice cream sandwich. A long bun filled with 3 scopes of artificially flavoured ice cream. The ice cream is seriously so artificial but still delicious.the ice cream was coloured with colouring so bright that made it so darn obvious, and full of artificial flavouring but back then as a child I didn't have such complex knowledge and taste buds so it didn't matter.
