I really like the tranquillity of this portrait. The Lion is an animal known for its strength but it rarely is described as a calm and soft feline when there is no danger around.
This portrait has been made in the early morning, at Beauval in France, and the lion was watching a bug flying in front of its (not in the frame).
Nikon D800 with tamron 70-200 f2.8
Shot at 200mm, f/2.8, 1/125, ISO 200.
