IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION IN CHILDREN WITH DOWN SYNDROME
There are many foundations currently dealing with children with Down Syndrome. In Anzoategui state in Venezuela, there is a foundation called CIAMI, which also has fialiales worldwide.
Down Syndrome (DS) is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of an extra copy of chromosome 21 (or a part thereof) rather than the usual two, which is why it is also called trisomy 21. the presence of a variable degree of cognitive disability and peculiar physical features that give it a recognizable appearance. It owes its name to John Langdon Down who was the first to describe this genetic alteration in 1866, although he never came to discover the causes that produced it.
These children or adults are also called special because of their difference from any other person considered normal. They are always cheerful, with good attitude, willing to help and learn. Their condition does not limit them to lead a normal life, under their certain rules.
It is important to integrate children with Down Syndrome at an early age, so that they can stimulate their senses and have a better learning. For the way they can learn is not the same as that of a common child.
These children need to be able to develop themselves with a specialized personnel in the area, since also to be able to teach the vocation is needed.
Early specific programs (for the first six years of life) designed specifically for children with Down syndrome seek to maximize their adaptive and learning mechanisms. Thus, for example, in order to teach a child to read Down syndrome, conventional methods are not used, but rather the graphic methods (from cards, or cards, which associate image and word) that take into account their greater capacity visual and they are getting excellent results. In addition, these programs allow the acquisition of these skills to be achieved much earlier, to continue education programs that fully integrate the person with Down syndrome into a work environment in the future.

As everything progresses, there are more and more studies that address this issue of development in special children and incorporation into daily life, which are not discriminated by their condition. Like vitamins, and learning techniques. In Venezuela the law dictates that all companies must have within their ranks people with this syndrome and adapt activities according to their disposition and development.
At present discrimination is not acceptable in any way.
These children want to be treated in the same way as other children, let alone look at them with pity or strangers for their features. Since they may be happier than those who believe.

There are many cases of talented children and adults in each of its branches.

This is a great post, whenI was younger I worked with people who because of their differences were institutionalized as children. The institutional setting destroyed these people. Now having met people with down syndrome who were raised in society the difference or rather lack of difference is striking.
Good for Venezuela for treating these people with dignity.
Now to just figure out how to feed your people.
