4TH GRADE MATH - METRIC UNITS OF MASS "CONVERSIONS"

Metric Units of Mass (Weight) and Conversions

In this activity we will discuss metric units of mass. Basic metric unit of mass is GRAM. One pinch of salt is about 1g. There are derivatives of gram. We need derivatives of GRAM to measure large masses (weights) or very small masses (weights).

Below are the activity sheets on the concept;

This is amazing post sir i am so happy to comment first.

Hello @mathworksheets excellent explanation, sometimes we forget these rules, mainly when we are in the kitchen and we want to make a conversion. Thanks for sharing.

These every post will be printed for teach the students. Thanks brother for the great post

Nice post with the onformation about grams , kilograms and milligrams with real life examples like weight of a person, pinch of salt etc. @mathworksheets. Thanks for sharing it. Will wait for your next post :)

Great and amazing post @mathworksheets. The basic metric unit of mass is the gram. A regular-sized paperclip has a mass of about 1 gram. Among scientists, one gram is defined as the mass of water that would fill a 1-centimeter cube. You may notice that the word “mass” is used here instead of “weight.”
Maths is my favourite subject.
I love to do maths regularly.

Thanks for sharing this post.

@mukhtarilyas, for a kilogram unit conversion can use a unit ladder, if it drops one level at 10 times, and if it rises one level divided by 10, how @mathworkhseets.
