Perpendicular Lines

Any lines which meet each other at 90 degrees (right angle) are known as perpendicular lines. There are numerous examples of perpendicular lines around us.

For example; look around the room you are sitting in, the floor and the walls are at right angle and hence are perpendicular to each other. Adjacent sides of the computer screen or a textbook are perpendicular to each other.

Can you think of more examples of perpendicular lines around you?

Below are the activity sheets I prepared on the concept;

Another great post for kids to practice and learn more :)

Nice post about perpendicular lines @mathworksheets.

Thank you very much @gautam:))

@mukhtarilyas, a very appropriate example for children @mathworksheets, foot footing with the heel also form a 90 angle.

Perfect example my friend! Thanks for sharing your insights!
