2ND GRADE MATH - MONEY WORKSHEETS USING AMERICAN COINS
Money Worksheets for 2nd Grade Math Using American Coins
In this post I am sharing 5 money worksheets involving American Coins. Similar to their Canadian counterparts USA coins involve a penny, a nickle, a dime, a quarter, a half dollar coin and a dollar coins. Yes, American coins contain a half dollar (50 cent) coin.
Again parents need to take initiative to teach counting coins to their kids. Use real coins and make small story problems to make your kids familiar with these coins. Use the following worksheets as an aid to teach the concepts of money and coins.
Below are the links to three more worksheets on the same concept, print them for extra practice;

Americans really don't use the dollar coin that much, if at all. But the worksheet is correct. I would use something like this when I taught.
Yes, there is one dollar bill which is mostly used. Thanks for your feedback dear @mctiller :))
I hope I didn't offend. As an American teacher it just caught my attention.
No dear brother, not at all!
Next stop, Chinese coins. They're easier to count because you can put them on a stick.
Wow, Chinese coins! I want them!
Another hit post. Thanks for the great post. Resteemed
I really appreciate your help and support my dear friend @ziarul31 :))
And now your posts have an added, numismatic value, @mathworksheets :)
Hahahaaa... Thanks my dear friend @lighteye. You made my day!
Nice that you have American coinage as well.
They are reserve currency and each reserve bank needs to have some!LOL..
Thank you, I as a parent deeply understand the worksheets you provide and become input for me as a parent who has children. LOVE @mathworksheets
Thanks for your input, @boryenka. Your kind words giving me huge strength to create more math content!
This is such a good idea. When I was a kid no one really talked about money because it was considered impolite. I see the point of that, but understanding money is just too important for everyday life to ignore.
