SIMPLE Cover image upload WORKAROUND
Dear community,
being new to steemit, I was wondering if there was any way of uploading a local cover image for my profile. As there is no direct way, it appears a doable workaround is to upload a cover image through blogging
and using the generated image url for my cover image. Let's give it a try!
Disclaimer: I hold all rights on this image. I took it in a community inside national park Sierra del Lacandón in the north of Guatemala, where I spent more than half a year doing research on conservation site management, especially fire risk management living in local communities. This time back in 2012 can also be considered as the time of my initiation to the topics this blog will be about.

So it appears the image ratio is key, the 170px height mentioned in another cover image post does not to be helpful once the image ratio does not seem to fit. So after some trial and error, it should now work!

Hi Thank you for #introducingyourself. Im myself quite new in steemit community but I realized that there are few things you could do to have a better start:
Mostly I invested a little bit in STEEM in order to purchase STEEM POWER and STEEM DOLLARS. Why? Its simply important. Without initial investment it will be very hard for you to build reach here and be noticed.
