Albert Einstein, he was a theoretical physics scientist, one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century. he was born in the year (March 14, 1879-18 April, 1955). And he is the founder of the theory of relativity and also contributes his ideas and thoughts to the development of statistical mechanics, quantum mechanics, and cosmology. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 for his explanation of the photoelectric effect and his "devotion to Theoretical Physics".

After the general theory of relativity was formulated, Einstein became famous throughout the world, a remarkable achievement for a scientist. In his old age, his popularity surpassed the fame of all scientists in the history of world civilization, and in popular culture, the word Einstein is considered synonymous with intelligence, even genius. His face is one of the best known around the world. [1]

Things that happen in childhood often shape our dreams and our future. Similarly, with Albert Einstein, at the age of 5 years Albert Einstein had lain sick in bed. The father then came and brought a compass to play with.

Despite his illness, little Albert experienced a tense excitement as he watched the compass. when his body trembled and shivered as he imagined the mysterious power behind the compass. The needle moves left and right, following the direction of the wind. Her curiosity is getting bigger. He wants to know the power that moves the compass needle. His curiosity also directs him in choosing a college subject to choose a job as someone who dwells in the world of theoretical physics.

Thinking for a better life

Like many other parents, Albert Einstein's father also had hope for the child. As an electrical engineer, Einstein's father hopes that his son can continue his family business. Have you ever experienced something like this? Einstein who heard it was getting more agitated. and the anxiety he conveyed to a friend:

"Initially, I was expected to be an engineer, but the shadow that I had to use creative energy for things that made a better life, with a dismal profit as a goal, was completely indisputable to me. Thinking is to think, just like music. "

The words Einstein said when he was a teenager, when he was about 17 years old. At a young age, he was already steady with his various career choices: theoretical physics. [2]

At the time of her graduation Einstein could not find a job to become an educator, then thanks to the father of a classmate helping her get a job as a technical assistant examiner at the Swiss Patent Office in 1902. There, Einstein assessed the inventor's patent application requiring physical knowledge. He also learned to realize the importance of an app rather than a bad explanation. And learn from the director how to "explain himself correctly". He sometimes corrects their designs and also evaluates their work. In 1904, Einstein's position at the Swiss Patent Office became permanent. Then he earned a doctorate after submitting a thesis entitled "Eine neue Bestimmung der Moleküldimensionen" ("On a new determination of molecular dimensions") in 1905 from the University of Zürich. [3]

Year 1905, the year of achievement for Einstein

The year 1905 is a year of achievement for Einstein himself, because ditahun that much of his work that received public appreciation. The following is a list of Albert Einstein's works during 1905:

  • March 1905: Albert Einstein writes and publishes his work on the Application of Ecipartition on Radiation Events, where this paper is the introduction of the quantum-light hypothesis based on Boltzmann's statistics. In the paper Einstein also explained about the electric photo effect that eventually led to her becoming a Nobel Prize winner.
  • In April 1905: Albert Einstein obtained his PhD from the University of Zurich for his paper on the new determination of molecular measures.
  • In May 1905: Albert Einstein wrote a paper on Gerak Brown or the famous Brownian Movement. Where in his thesis entitled "On the Motion-Required by the Molecular Kinetic Theory of Heat-of Small Particles Suspended in a Stationary Liquid"

Einstein reviewed the Brownian movement by observing the movement of atoms, we can know the number of atoms using a regular microscope. Before this thesis many physicists and chemists were at loggerheads because they doubted "whether the atom is really a real thing or not." But after this Einstein thesis, it is clear that atoms are the smallest unit of matter in which there are protons and nucleons.

June to September 1905: Einstein wrote about Special Theory of Relativity which later became famous with the formula E = mc². Where E is the potential energy generated. M is the mass of an object and C is the speed of light in a vacuum (c >> 300 thousand kilo meters per second).

In this Special Relativity Theory explains that if an object of mass m is given the speed of the second light it will be able to produce enormous energy. In other words 1 gram of mass can generate energy to supply 2700,000 watts of electricity for a full year. Electricity of this size can supply a house with 900 watts of power as many as 3000 houses for a full year. Wow only with one gram of mass can be electricity to one village.

Einstein's paper on Special Theory of Relativity is then published Annalen der Physik under the title ZurElektrodynamik bewegter Kerper (electrodynamics of moving objects). And that's where the name Albert Einstein then began to be famous.

Einstein's findings are then misused to develop nuclear weapons which are then used to finish off Hiroshima and Nagasaki residents. What a shame.
Einstein handed over his papers to "Annalen der Physik" which later in 1995 coincided with the celebration of 100 years of Albert Einstein, his entire paper in 1905 was made public. And the year 1995 is commemorated as the Year of Physics

Albert Einstein died

In 1955 on the 17th of April, Albert Einstein suffered internal bleeding due to rupture of the abdominal aorta. It was then Einstein had undergone surgery handled by Dr. Rudolph Nissen in 1948. Perhaps the outbreak of the abdominal aorta was also continued from the impact of surgery that he did. While he is preparing to write a speech text on television to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the state of Israel.

Einstein blew his last breath with his last words "I want to go when I want to, to prolong life artificially, I've done my part, now it's time to go, I'll do it elegantly ..." Albert Einstein does not want to be operated anymore and he died at the age of 76 at Princeton Hospital.

When Albert Einstein was autopsied, Princeton Hospital Pathologist Thomas Thomas Harold took Einstein's brain and preserved it without notice to the Einstein family. This is done to examine why Einstein's brain is so intelligent that it will be useful later on. Einstein's physics was then cremated and his ashes scattered in a secret location.

On the anniversary of Einstein's day, a nuclear expert named Robert Oppenheimer said his impression on Albert Einstein was as follows: "He was almost wholly without sophistication and wholly without worldliness ..." There is always a wonderful purity at once childlike and profoundly stubborn. " Or if translated is "He is almost entirely devoid of sophistication and utterly without worldliness . There is always with him a beautiful purity as well as childish and stubborn." [4]

World Award For Albert Einstein

Because of his services in the field of science, the name einstein used as the name of a unit in photochemistry. An element of chemistry is also named einsteinium and an asteroid named 2001 Einstein. In addition in 1999 by Time magazine, Albert Einstein is regarded as a Person of the Century. []
