Why must we teach our children never to give up? 

Sometimes we all get depressed and sad and don’t feel the way we usually do.

It is like the seasons of the year. We do not feel the same every day and maybe your friend feels that you are not nice. This friend must realise he became friends with this child because he liked him.

If a day comes that he is not as nice as always, rather find out why he is not as nice as always. You might find out that he or she might have a problem. 

The four seasons in life is the same, in winter everything seems to become dry and not as attractive as it was in summer time. 

In summer we have beautiful trees and a lot of flowers as well as warm weather. 

Sometimes it is the same with us if we feel down, it is like winter time. We do not always have to have a reason, but sometimes it is just feelings that come over you.

When you are a good friend you will try and help him or her to figure out what is wrong and try to help. 

Once you start it might become spring in their life and they start feeling better because you helped. You will feel like summer, because your friend is starting to feel happier. 

If you cannot help, ask someone who you trust like a teacher or a parent to try and help. The most important thing is not to lose your friend because he or she is feeling a bit down.

Friendships should last forever, if they are good people and you will be so glad when you grow up and have a friend who knew you since your primary school days. 

This can work both ways, as sometime you might not feel up to scratch, and your friend will help you. 

We were not made to be alone in life, we all like doing things on our own sometimes. But there is nothing nicer than having a friend who understand you and support you.

That is also the reason why we marry our best friends, because they will always be there for us as long as we live. There are so many people getting divorced nowadays and this is really not a good example to our children. 

So that is why your best friend would also make your best wedding mate.

Life is not that long, and we all like to talk to some people when we grow old. I have been on the phone to book an airline ticket and everyone expect you to just hear what they are mumbling and then write down numbers. 

I have found that people who answer telephone always think that you are young and just stupid; I then say I am sorry but firstly I do not hear so well when you are talking so fast.

 Secondly I am old and cannot write down the number you are giving me so fast, so please slow down and do not get angry when I repeat, I have to be sure that it is written down correctly.

If you have a friend, all these things will be easier as you work as a team one says the number, and the other write it down. So never lose a friend over something silly, and try to stay friends as long as you can. 

Children should be taught that friends are always wonderful to have, as long as they do not try to teach you the wrong things in life. Be very careful of people who want you to smoke or drink. Children will never become so bad if they have decent friends.

 So once you have a good well brought up friend please do not lose him over something silly.

I so wish this for every child that go through a teacher’s hands. I really hope that everyone who read this teach their children to have good friends.
