For many years a serious mistake has been made, which society has paid dearly for and is about raising children.

It is believed that by sending them to school and that makes you an exemplary parent, that math, science and social classes are sufficient to ensure the future of your child when that does not represent what is really important and not you pay attention.

Why is emotional education so important?

A child who does not feel love for himself, is a child full of insecurities and therefore will not develop in the most optimal way within society. This situation has the same effect as a domino cart, it is a single wave that reaches adulthood.

Educating underestimating is not educating.

Educating screaming is not educating.

Educating hitting is not educating.

Educating insulting is not educating.

These are orthodox methods, which only lead to one thing, lowering self-esteem. And in addition to this, neither is reached the goal which is: Educate

It is necessary to motivate the child, to give value to his effort so that things do not go so well, to rebuke without humiliate, to teach without insult. Children are the future, if we have a stable and solid future we have gained a gap. For the human quality is the main thing.

It's not just about grades, how quickly you learn the numbers or the letters, you know so much, it's about what children are and what they can become.

The idea is not to raise children with a higher self-esteem, as this type of character is not good for society.

Children with enough self-esteem are required so that they do not let themselves be trampled underfoot, know those who are able to do it and who do not allow another person to tell them that they can not do one thing or another.

To improve self-esteem in children:

  1. Do not insult them when they are wrong: "you are not good for anything", "you do not do anything right", are expressions that must be eliminated completely.

  2. Encourage them to do new activities.

  3. Have a word of approval when doing something right.

I emphasize self-esteem because it is closely related to the title of this post: "emotional education", in fact is the foundation for the development of immersed skills within this type of education.

The purpose of emotional education is the development of emotional competencies that contribute to better face the challenges of life and as a consequence provide better personal and social well-being.

Emotional education is a form of competence acquisition that can be applied in many situations variables. It is intended to minimize the vulnerability of the person to certain scenarios (stress, depression, impulsivity, aggressiveness, etc.) or prevent its occurrence. For this purpose, the development of basic competences for life is proposed.

let's hope so. but is hard most of the times... because we tent to educate our children by the same methods that our parents educate us... they are so deeply rooted in our essence that is so difficult to change... not impossible though... that's why we are here :)
