Steemit Digest Issue #2: Health and Diet, News, Musical Tips, Sports and Entertainment + Tech Reviews
Welcome to the second Steemit Digest issue: Your daily dose of steemians'-shared knowledge.
Steemit Digest is a reference work for finding daily interesting topics as seen only here in Steemit as it's created to brag the gem of our authors in different topics, whether it's undervalued or trending.

Author's Entry
Today i'm going to share to you how i made the Steemit Digest magazine cover in just a few minutes.
Madmagz is a website for creating and publishing online magazines, it has ready-made templates and customizations making us easy to create our own online magazines with web or pdf formats that are downloadable from the website.
However, we can only use their trial version of template to make magazine cover (as it's just only our goal here). The finished product can be downloaded in pdf format but they will insert many watermarks on it's background. But here's how i managed to make a magazine cover WITHOUT their watermark:
Spoiler: Just easy, you can preview your creation, take a screenshot, and then crop it using your desired image editor.
Then click the create a mag above your screen.
you will have to select the modern template, it's the only one that's free.
Just input anything, you will have to customize it again eventually. Just click continue below.
This page will appear next. Ignore this by clicking again continue below.
Click the cover image then click Validate at the bottom and wait a second.
Voila! the template is now ready for editing. Toolbars are above the template and you just have to click the background image to upload another background image. You can also just put a URL of your desired background image. When you have finished your editing, you can be able to preview your creation.
Now when you're able to preview it, you can screenshot it and just crop it. Downloading a legit copy of it isn't free and the free one has madmagz watermarks on it that's why i only suggest the screenshot option. There you go.

What kind of things do you look for when evaluating posts to feature?

In this case i chose different topics such as travel, sports, leisure, your post about technology, just like i'm managing and editing a local magazine. for the post's quality i'm not that quite perfectionist now as i'm just starting but i feature my follower's posts although others posts aren't their original as long as its helpful enough to put it in my mag-like post i.e. News.
Or if i should curate a post my personal requirement is minimum of 300 words i guess. and not copy-pasta
That sounds like a recipe for success. One day I took it upon myself to go to the new section and try to give people some advice on not copying and pasting or how to make better posts, and I quickly realized that was a tall order. Keep doing what you're doing. You're helping promote great content on Steemit.
