La Isla Bonita : Paradise of the South

As a sales consultant in a BPO company, it is very important for us to at least take time to have wonderful stay in a beautiful beach resort and to be free from work related activities even in a short period of time. My ex co-workers in BPO decided to go to this resort and everyone agreed because of its tempting ad in internet.

However,my first experience with this place was disappointing It was because aside from it took us few hours to come here, the expenses were high and out of our budget.From the Port of Magsaysay in Davao City, we paid Php80.00 per head for the boat ride. That forty-five-minute boat ride is quiet tiring. Then, it is followed by a motorcycle ride for Php70.00 per head to finally reach our destination. The motorcycle ride was kinda relieving because we we were surrounded with trees during the ride. When we got there, we had to pay for an entrance fee of Php200.00 which is good for an overnight stay. And another fee for the cottage. We didn't take rooms, we're not sleeping anyway. It was a night of drinks and stories.

Aside from all of the unexpected expenses we had, and a No-good-water-to-drink-and-No-electricity-experience, we had the chance to know each other well. We had the chance to unwind.

A Better Experience

Well, who would've thought that after that experience with this island, I am going to visit it for the second time. I gave La Isla Bonita a second chance. This time , the island didn't fail me.

We traveled there by boat and when we reached the island, an automobile picked us up. We paid for an overnight stay. There are lots of changes I have noticed from my first visit. The resort is more cleaner, more presentable. There are new rooms opened. And electricity and water is not an issue anymore.

From a worst to a best escape-to-reality-experience, La Isla Bonita continues to rise. This place deserves a visit. It is good for those who want to relax and unwind. It is located in Island Garden City of Samal, Talicud Island, Davao.
