the steem is the local or should i say the traditional coin of the steem blockchain. It is being used entirely on the blockchain and it represents the network on the market. The steem is also being rewarded to content creators. The steem can be used in the buying or purchasing of other coins on the steem blockchain.
STEEM POWER(SP)
The steem power or SP is the users amount of steem that has being powered up. Powering up is just the way by which a user saves up some amount of steem in order to increase their influence on the platform. This will also help increase the voting capacity of a user on other users content. Also the value of a SP is equivalent to that same value of a steem. Also , whenever a user is holding a steem power, it grants one the privileges of benefiting from the steem blocks which is being distributed to SP holders.
STEEM DOLLAR
The steem dollar is also one of the native coins of the steem blockchain. But the steem dollar is steem’s stable coin. This is there as an alternative for the steem, incase of the fluctuation of the steem market. The steem dollar when compared to the steem’s value is much greater than the steem and even has more value than the usd.
TRON or TRX
The Tron or the trx is another which is being rewarded on the steem platform. The trx coin is a native coin for different blockchain which is the Tron blockchain. But due to the partnership between the steem blockchain and the Tron blockchain, the trx is being also rewarded to users for creating good content on the steem platform too.
EXPLAIN THE BENEFIT OF BUILDING ONES SP IN THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN?
As i earlier said that having more steem power in your helps build or improve your influence on the steem platform. So in order to have a better experience on the platform, one has to build their steem power. Holding more steem has a greater influence on the steem blockchain, so it is very necessary and important to hold some steem in our custody. So the more steem power a user has grants them a greater opportunity when it comes to curating on the platform. This is because they have much influence on the platform and it is in turn helping the community.
When ever a block is created on the steem blockchain, some percentage of the new steem block goes to users holding some steem. Which makes it a necessity for us to try and store up some steem. The more steem you have the greater your amount of reward.
Due to how important it is to be holding some steem power, we are often recommended by the various community’s representatives to be powering up as much as often. The powering up actually helps we the steem holders and the platform at large.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF CURATION IN STEEM
Curation is simply the act of rewarding a user’s content which he or she has posted in a particular community. Curation is done based on some requirements that are met by the content creator. So if a users content meets the requirements he or she then gets curated. Which turns out to motivate the user to do more and perform well. There are other cases that a user’s content will not be curated, which could be that either he or she didn’t meet the requirements or it is not a must for them to receive some curation reward which has been stated. Just like this contest the curation reward is not a must. So a participant can either get some curation rewards or not.
Curation helps the platform to grow and build. In the sense that users tends to introduce the platform to other new users to join for it pays better.
IS SELF VOTING GOOD OR BAD?
Self voting is just the act of being selfish and greedy. I am only saying this because this the case when a particular user wants more of themselves. Self voting is actually an act where by a user trying to curate their selves more than what is expected of them. The self voting happens when user sets more voting percentage for themselves in order to get more rewards. Which is a wrong thing to be doing in the platform.

Whenever a content is created and being posted in a particular community on the steem platform, it actually takes 7 days for it to be curated and to payout in that particular community. After the content is being rewarded, the reward is being divided into two equal halves. The divided rewards are being shared between the content creator and the curator.

ADVANTAGES
1. One of the best and most important advantage of the steem blockchain is that it users get rewarded which can be used in real life. This is because it’s a dapp.
2. The steem blockchain is a platform where by it users learn new things everyday. Contest on educative topics are being organized for user to participate in. This renders the participants to go and explore and learn in order to be able to do the contest.
DISADVANTAGES
1.The steem blockchain turns out to be eating most of the time of it users. This is simply because blogging or writing here are expected to be plenty and well explained, which requires enough time and attention to do that.
2.Some of your hard written blogs or contents might not be curated after spending a lot time to write them up. Which is a very sad thing.
In conclusion, the steem blockchain is a platform that allows it users to blog freely and get payed or rewarded at the end of the day. Because it is a dapp, users are expected to be rewarded in cryptocurrencies. Users are given some keys which should be kept safe for it is what will give them access to their account. Because it is a blogging platform uses tends to be spending much time here.
Curation is actually a multistep process and is much more than upvoting the content to reward the users. It starts from reading the content , analysing the quality and source of content , commenting to add further value to the post, resteeming good content. It also involves downvote the spam or plagiarised content to maintain the integrity of the blockchain.

Yes we can broadly say that there is voting window of 7 days but technically there is reverse auction in first 5 minutes and linear discount in last 12 hours .

Self voting is so so irritating to me after I learnt more about it and since then I give zero percent tolerance to self-voting because it's actually a wicked act because if everyone else use to self vote their self then steemit would be a shit hole and the platform would Lose it's initial value and goal so please and play Keep the good work of condemning self-voting on Steemit.
