Curation is simply the act of rewarding a user’s content which he or she has posted in a particular community

Curation is actually a multistep process and is much more than upvoting the content to reward the users. It starts from reading the content , analysing the quality and source of content , commenting to add further value to the post, resteeming good content. It also involves downvote the spam or plagiarised content to maintain the integrity of the blockchain.

Self voting is actually an act where by a user trying to curate their selves more than what is expected of them.

You are right . We are trying to judge our content by ourselves .

it actually takes 7 days for it to be curated

Yes we can broadly say that there is voting window of 7 days but technically there is reverse auction in first 5 minutes and linear discount in last 12 hours .

    Thanks for the additional detailed explanation on the voting window. Curation can then be said to be the use of intelligent brain for the assessment of a content, either to upvote or downvote the content
