When Women Work, What are the Advantages?

Most women in Indonesia are powerless and poor. They are powerless becuase of the discrimination in all sector of life, especially in public sectors. This discrimination has brought women lost their access on all resources, even their personal needs also looses and disappears.
Therefore when we look at the number of Indonesian population with 262 millions population, where a half of the populations are women. Most of the women populations are powerless and poor. Shortly, most women are powerless and poor in Indonesia. Women are not independent economically and even in decisions making process. All of these conditions can be said as the gender basis discrimination.

Ideally, women must be independent, powerful and rich. They have their own incomes, they can make money, but it in fact, so many women are jobless. So, when They are jobless, how can they have income? It is impossible. As we know that money will not flow into our wallet without working, without doing business. Therefore when women want to have daily income, they must have a job. They must work and make money.

So, whar are the advantages when women have jobs such as running businesses? Of course the first advantage is that women will have their own incomes. Second, when they have their own incomes, women can build their self confidence and self determination in decision making process. Third, when women have job or work, and have incomes, they help the families. They even do not only help themselves, but brings good impacts on the family economic situation.

As we know that in our society in Indonesia, women are placed in domestic domain. Women work everyday and even every time, but at home with never receiving salaries. Therefore women need to work and have their own incomes. As it was mentioned above there are many advantages when women work and have their own incomes.

Believe it or not, when women have jobs or businesses, they have helped their husbands for fulfilling the household needs and includes women's needs. As we know that women naturally have more needs comparing with men. Unfortunately men can not fulfill women's needs. Therefore women women have their own incomes, they can fulfill their own needs. In this situation, women have helped their husbands. Do you agree?
