I think you should have rewards for every power of ten. Here is my suggested list:
0 Accounts start as part of the Primordial Ooze
1 - 9 is a Carbon Compound
10 - 99 is a Protein Strand
100 - 999 is a Protozoa
1,000 - 9,999 is Algae
10,000 - 99,999 is Krill
100,000 - 999,999 is Redfish
1,000,000 - 9,999,999 is a Minnow
10,000,000 - 99,999,999 is a Dolphin
100,000,000 - 999,999,999 is an Orca
1,000,000,000 - 999,999,999,999 is a Whale
1,000,000,000,000 and over is a Kraken.
It looks like new accounts that are too cheep to power up are stuck in red fish category for the first seven months or so. I think it would be great to have a classification during this long trying period.
I know right! I feel like slowly my flashlight gets more and more light. Hopefully soon I will be able to understand and navigate this site better. Are you new too?
hey @steemitboard you are doing a great work and I am excited what will come next!
But I am still learning about everything here in this beautiful universe. So, I have a question to the dead fish. I read the other day that if I am inactive my fish will die, but that it is possible to wake him up if I am active again. So now my fish is dead but I was never inactive and it does not matter how much I post, upvote or comment it remains dead since days.
The more steem power you have, the more vests you have, so comment and post and don't power down. :) Steem Power is an oversimplification of Vests; basically vests are what the blockchain cares about, and steem power is making it simple for our brains to wrap around, which is why it isn't quite the same, but is close enough.
VESTS are how many shares you own of the network. The more you have, the more influence you have when voting.
STEEM POWER is another representation of your VESTS, but relative to the total amount of VESTS in the network. As more VESTS are produced each day, your STEEM POWER tends to decrease slowly.
That makes a lot of sense. Everyone learns and see's things differently. Basically your steem power is the amount of shares you would own of a company/entity. That translates to the percentage of power or influence you would have just as if this was a traditional publicly traded company. Does that sound like I have a better idea?
Appreciate you taking the time to explain in different words. Never know whats words will make something click.
Cool!....:)...
Thanks

Help please I don't want to be dead anymore!
greetings @experimentel
What influences our Vest number? How can we aim at raising this number to reach the next level?

No problem!
