RE: Why every woman should consider doing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu

in #steemitbjj7 years ago

Great post @evecab I have done a few different martial arts throughout my life and am a big believer in the benefits to body, mind and self discipline. I studied jujitsu very briefly as a child but.. well children can be so fickle and I was no exception. I stuck with shotokan karate for longer getting to brown belt and lastly about 10 years ago taekwondo, in whic I got up to red belt. Never did get to black belt lol. Unfortunately, a back injury has stopped my high-kicking days in there tracks. Gr8 article, thanks for sharing :-)

I did some taekwondo also as a child and really loved it=) But from a self-defense point of view I think BJJ is much more efficient. I loved those high kicks though =). I hope your back recovers fast so that you can keep practicing, and in the meantime, happy writing!
