@yourhelper is thinking differently today. I have been thinking of how crazy our world has become with wars and threats of wars ravaging the better part of it. I want to know how we can help the people in war torn zones of the world.
@yourhelper is concerned that these man-made wars that can be quenched, if there is a will, are being thought of as natural occurrences that should be allowed to run the course of its time by many. How can we allow thousands of people to die everyday over nothing?
From Syria to Afghanistan, Libya to South Sudan, Central African Republic to Yemen, etc innocent people are dying everyday. And we all sit by and do nothing; often times because we think that these events are normal and will sort out itself with time. Now that is not happening!!!
There is nothing normal about wars and carnage. These wars and conflicts are driven by the greedy and selfish interest of a few people to the detriment of many.
Even if we only succeeded in saying a moment of prayer for the people caught up in these conflicts by this action, we would have succeeded in doing something noble.
We are going to use one of the tools which this platform provides to create a fresh awareness about this anomaly. We shall deploy the power of blogging via writing to achieve this noble objective.
Writing Contest
Every willing participant will draw attention of the world to the challenges mentioned above through a writing contest that will throw up winners if possible.
I want everyone interested in this contest to write an article on how wars can be averted 1 and how war in any of the mentioned countries above can be stopped in one month from today. 2

Your article must be of good quality and should highlight points that are necessary to achieve the two ideas highlighted above.

Honestly speaking, all current wars are just a bussines. They were started by giant companies.
Its not a politic or inner country problem. If you see a war, start to think who pay for it and who could get benefits/profit

@yourhelper I just woke up to the first straight four hours sleep I've had in days. My brain is in pain from information overload after just one week of introducing myself to this platform.
Two days ago my doctor told me, after my telling him about Steemit and he having me fill out a questionnaire, that I might be suffering from some form of manic state and offers me some magic beans...which I not so graciously declined.
My back aches, deep deep down, from hunching over this keyboard like some savant composer working on an resounding earth shattering, critic destroying tour de force opus that will bring down the concert halls and stadiums across the globe from the outcry of endless encores.
I find the cat has somehow decided I'm neglecting her...at least that's the only answer I can think of as to why my tooth brush was found half buried in her litter box...my coffee has gone cold...I can't find my lighter so I can have a puff of the cure to calm my frayed nerves...and...right now...I hear the municipal truck going past my home to my neighbour's...with me having not put out the recycling.
And you... @yourhelper ... you want me to follow your rules and regulations to help you end the malignant cancer that has been eating the soul of humanity since...since...idk...somebody must've wanted something for nothing and found it easier to just take it rather than being as industrious as the person in possession of said want and procuring it for him/her/fitb self?
These things...and more...you graciously ask. All because you woke up and chose to think differently today and have realized what an abject horror the world has become? Well let me just say to you @yourhelper ... that's three but who's counting...the countless bodies in the countless undescovered bulldozed mounds now grown over by Mother Earth's band aid...life. I'm glad you've at least opened your heart and are crying out for something to be done. I'm glad you have found a platform to try to find a solution to the problem and are enlisting an army of scribes to fight back with...the keyboard is mightier than sarin gas...mightier than the minds who wish to perpetuate this macabre mosh dance of mayhem... mightier than than the faith that all will be well if enough people prayed for it to end.
I wish you well and good fortune in your quest my friend...in all sincerity if there is anything I can do that will bring about the outcome you now so greatly desire...please...let me know.
For now I will leave you with what I have found to be the best way for me/myself/I to cope with such inner turmoil over the state of global affairs. My personal mantra...my silent prayer...my most fervent desire...which I share freely with you...and any who may find that it serves them well...

I truly believe that there are times when you must fight and die for your country. However, they do Not occur as often as the politicians tell us they do. It is Our responsibility as citizens, to decide the difficult questions of war and peace. Too often this proper order has been reversed. Is it because our all-volunteer military has dumped these terrible responsibilities on a precious few? Do our politicians make it too easy to dump all the sacrifice on them? We must do better. The young men and women we put in harm's way deserve it.

Wow...you really take words from my mouth...Indeed wars are the black blot in the modern day world democracy and yet everyone fails to stop it even encourages it (many developed countries) coz it helps their business to advance smoothly...Wars as such are all together bad for the country's economy but the most affected by these Are the common people who lose their livelihood, loved ones, their belongings by this vicious viper. The current War in Middle East is the deadliest, everyday innocent kids are washed away by this black wave and thousands are orphaned while many millions migrate to refuge in neighborhood countries. We esp UN of all should take a firm stand against the Wars. Lets make this world a peaceful and prosperous place, not only for ourselves but for the underprivileged too. #peace Steem on!!!
