Day 16: Steemit Strategy (30 Days Of Steemit Success)

in #steemit7 years ago

Posting on Steemit on a regular schedule can be difficult, but coming up with a Steemit strategy could be the difference in finding success or finding frustration.

I have been delegated 1,000 SP to help new Steemonians find Steemit Success. Over the month of September I will be posting daily about different strategies, tips and tricks to help you become the best Steemoninan you can be. You can start at the beginning if you want.

30 Days Of Steemit Success

What Is A Steemit Strategy

A Steemit strategy is a plan that details how you are going to find time to create content, post blogs and engage with others. It doesn't have to be a formal plan that you type out and make a presentation using Power Point, but having a good strategy can keep you focused on growing on Steemit and not just being on Steemit.

Content Strategy

After a couple of weeks on Steemit, you have probably found a niche or two that you want to focus on. The knowledge you know can only last so long, so start coming up with ideas on how to learn new things to pass on through your blogs. That can be watching YouTube videos, reading blogs, taking the time to go out and photograph a historic place or even remembering to take pictures for Steemit while you are at the zoo with the family.

Coming up with a strategy to not only post content but create content is very important to your long-term success. Knowing how you are going to come up with new things to share can save you time. Look for great blogs to write that come out of your daily activities. If you learned something new at work that might be valuable to some Steemonians, then use that, but don't only rely on that. Get out and experience new things and share them with us.

Comment Strategy

You don't want to only come to Steemit and blog and leave. There are a ton of great Steemonians and if you take the time to support them you will see more support fall your way. Find people you like and respect and make sure you visit them every couple of days to read and upvote their stuff.

Find some time to just browse through the trending or hot feeds for new people that might be great to read and follow, but make sure you carve out time for the people that you really respect and the people that offer you the most support.

Voting Strategy

Your voting power is something you don't have to worry about when you are first starting, but as you grow you will want to take more control over it. You don't want you voting power to drop too low, but you also don't want to be so stingy that you miss some great opportunities for curation rewards.

Figure out a good strategy and determine what kind of people and comments do you want to give 100% too. What does that mean to you? For me, I try to vote a little something for everyone that comments on my stuff, but that can get hard sometimes. If people provide great blogs that I find helpful, I'll upvote 100% and the same for comments. If I appreciate people taking their time to reply I'll try to vote to say thank you. That works for me, but figure out what works for you. Don't just vote haphazardly, but figure out a strategy.

Steemit success depends on a lot of things, but if you are serious about being successful on Steemit, then you will have to put in the work. Working with a plan and strategy will make it easier to reach your goals.

Today's Question

What strategy do you use to come up with content to share?

The best comments will be 100% upvoted and added to the eBook for 30 Days of Steemit Success.

Thank you for reading Day 16: Steemit Strategy.  This blog is part of a project that @dragosroua and @alexvan are supporting. I am deeply appreciative of their support for my project. The 30 Days of Steemit Success will be a series of blogs posted daily on Steemit to help new Steemonians. All of the blogs will be put together to create an eBook that will be available for download in October for all Steemonians for free.

To my followers, you are the melody to my Steemit lyrics.

I have some fun projects that take quite some leisure time to complete. I post about these from time to time. Not daily but maybe once or twice a week. It gives me the opportunity to 'report' progress, share new experiences and insights.
The advantage here is that I also get feedback on a regular basis. This helps me keeping in touch with the community and my followers.

That is awesome. Having projects that take some time are fun and Steemit can be a great way to update your fans and track your progress. Thank you for the reply and I'll add this to the book.

Hey @walkingkeys. Another great one. My new "SteemIt Success" series is dedicated to an in-depth, long term development of such a "productivity strategy". I'm up to Day 8, and have just gotten started: https://steemit.com/steemit/@transcript-junky/steemit-success-tip-of-the-day-8-sleep-your-way-to-the-top . The plan is to outdo your PUNY 30 days ;->, and keep going indefinitely (until I (potentially) run out of topics to write about). It would be great if a year from now I can show you Day #365. Haha! Well, be assure that YOUR series has been one (or several) main catalyst for the launch of my series, and I look forward to giving you that big, fat, juicy ReSTeem for the ebook which comes out of this series after Day 30... Keep it up...

That sounds awesome. I'm going to check it out for sure. lol please outdo 30 days... I would love to see you make it bigger and better. I'm happy for you and good luck. I'll check it out.

I'm usually traveling a lot, and I use this to share pictures from the places I visit. For me, is like sharing day-to-day experiences, not building on a specific topic. I agree, my strategy is not the best one, but is the one that suits me, as I am very busy with my real-live projects, which I can not openly share.

If you travel a lot, that gives you a lot of new material and content to pull from. It makes it a lot easier. I think it is awesome you are using your life experiences to stay active on Steemit. I also appreciate your input and responses on my posts. I appreciate it.

I love to read, I think people are figuring that out. I find Storytellers, Authors, people that have a story to tell. I take the time to carefully read it, then I add them to my notepad to be included in my next steemmag. I had to do the mag for selfish reasons, It is so so easy to lose or mis-place people on steemit. I would love to follow everyone, but then they would get lost in the clutter.

So my strategy is to visit those I follow, look at those I have commented on, and those that I have included in past issues. Just today via another Storyteller I read on a regular basis, she rats out one of her storytelling friends, walla, a new person to read.
I think I got very lucky in the first 10 people I followed on steemit,(you being one), because its through them that I have found such great content, and great Authors/Storytellers.

That is awesome. I love to read too, but second to my desire to write. I am so thankful for your insight and you input on these posts and I appreciate you taking the time to read and reply to my work. It means a lot. Thank you! This is another great reply I'll add to the book.

Because I haven't had time lately, I have posted daily at the Color Challenge contest!

Good way to stay active.
