Chasing Money Won’t Lead To Long-Term Success. Steem !

in #steemit8 years ago

Many new users have been flocking to steemit with the intention of becoming "rich" whilst making a bunch of random posts without bringing value to our community . However, we need to make something clear.. "richness" or "rich" is just a perception that an individual withholds within their minds.  But we often forget that wealth can not be pulled out of thin air, rather it is the fruit of passion and hard work. We need to make it clear the misperception and remind our peers that being rich is not all easy to attain and comes with hard-work and responsibilities.

There is a different between rich and wealthy.

The world is full with different individuals, who have different goals and different aspirations. Some individuals may have want to become doctors whilst others may aspire to be social workers. Often times those who aspire to be the later, are those who do not chase the money.  These are individuals whose primary objectives are not monetary, rather they aim for the betterment of society and with this process comes their wealth.  Thus, these individuals are not just "rich" in the sense that they posses large quantities of dollars or gold but they also own other qualities and thus wealthy.

Find your passion.

So how does one become wealthy ? Well to put it in simples terms, every single individual in this world that is successful, none of them were chasing after the money.  In fact, many think of money as their worst enemy as those who chase after the money often lost track of the their focus. Notable figures like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and the Founders of STEEMIT were never after becoming rich. Rather they were and are visionaries who aspire to make a difference and bringing their perspective and knowledge to the world. Steve jobs was famous for being rich whilst being humble and was known for his signature black turtle neck and blue jeans that he wore day-in and day-out. His passion and hard work in in the tech industry allowed him to pave way for APPLE's success as a world most valuable company.

Happiness is just around the corner.

So whats the point of this post ? Understand that making random post and just chasing the money be it on steemit or elsewhere in the world is not worth the effort. Every single act in this world has an opportunity cost, you might spend your whole life chasing wealth and might not even get the time to spent it. Those don't spend the time to grow and make an impact toward the community and world at large will not reap the benefits and might just be "rich" but may lack the wealth.

TLDR; Try making good content to the community and the money will follow.
