Didn't catch a Whale, But caught some Fishes

Hello Fellow Steemian and Anglers,

Did some night fishing looking for big fish, didn't catch any whales but we did catch some nice striped bass.

Fishing in Lake Pleasant in Arizona. Was a little windy when we got there but it settled down during the night.

Beautiful weather around 7:00 PM. We got our boat settled around 9:00 PM and started fishing through out the whole night. We used frozen anchovies as our bait and was fishing about 60-80 feet of water depth. The fish started biting around 1:00AM to 3:00AM. Yes I know its very late, but when you are night fishing in the lake and so quite and peaceful, it doesn't bother me one bit. If you never tried night fishing, you should try it for once in your life, it is a great experience to stay up all night and tackle the fishes.

Around 5:35 AM the fish stopped biting so we started packing up and head back. The sunrise was beautiful. Even with no sleep that night we still had the energy to watch the sunrise. Sitting on the boat and watching the sunrise, can't beat that.

Our 2 biggest catch were these 2. I say one was about a 2 1/2 pounder and the other was a 2 pounder. My catch was the 2 pounder.

All in all, it was a good trip, caught some fish and had a cook out for the family to enjoy. Any fellow whale anglers, share your experience.

Thanks for reading all.

I LOVE to night fish.. but haven't gone in forever! Which is a shame since I live in Tampa Bay down in FL. Surrounded by water. Would prob help to have a boat, but I think I'll be building one soon, so we'll see how that goes! :)

good luck on the boat building. you will enjoy it.

Very interesting
