Why Everyone Is Asking Upvote For Upvote On Steemit (My Thoughts) !!
Hello dear steemit friends,
Today iam going to write about a topic which is very common for all of us, and that topic is why most of the people are asking for upvote for upvote on your comments or in steemit.chat .
So friends this is not the problem of that guy who asking you for upvote for upvote,this is the problem of this platform and behaviour of it's users.
Because most of the time i see that no one is interested in reading a minnows post and that's why they can't get any upvotes,
For Earning good curation Rewards most of the users on steemit give there upvote for a user that's Reputation ranking is above 60 or 70 because they knew that user's post going to earn a good amount of money so they try to give their upvotes as fast as possible just after that big users post their new post.without even reading their content,
And this will make big users more big and small users more small,
And because of this good content writers need to beginning for upvotes from fellow steemit friends,
This is really a big problem for steemit and if this will not stop in coming future then a huge amount of good content writers going to leave this platform for sure,
So Friends try to encourage and appreciate other steemit friends also and grow together,keep steeming. :)

You are right...one of the reason I want to be a whale is to help those just starting out. I was fortunate over the past couple weeks to get a few very good suggestions. However, I would like to do more like upvote a minnow and have that person receive a nice chunk of steem and SP. Sadly, my .02 voting power doesnt go too far at the moment.
But hey, a little while ago it wasnt even that high so I am progressing.
Yes buddy, because i feel very sad because our minnows combined upvotes make someone a whale and after that user Became a whale he/she totally forgot about us and give his/her upvote to another whale for Earning more and that thing hurts me more.
Well I can tell you I am going for it. If the system is against us, then we just need to plow through it. I am just going to keep plugging away with massive activity on here, as much as time allows to overcome this. At least this is a progressive scale so it all build upon itself. My focus is being in as many places as possible so people cant help but see me. I dont know if it will work but that is my plan.
Of course, any other suggestions are welcome.

You can bet I'm not just slinging my upvotes around. I'm stingy with them! Lol If I'm not going to read it or it's not quality content, I'm not upvoting on it. I have seen some posts by whales that accumulate quite a bit of $ yet the content be completely lacking in comparison to so many others with much less of a following and reputation. So the latter gets my upvote. I understand their "strategy" but it doesn't help the community as a whole. In short, I concur.
I know and this type of nature by whales not good for the platform.
I've been making sure I spend some time each day reading, following, and upvoting on new users posts. I'm still new here and I feel we can help each other build up in a positive way. I don't worry about receiving votes, I really only want them if someone liked what I write. I think the important thing is for people to get involved with actually reading posts that interest them.
Yup, you are right buddy,and if everyone on steemit start thinking like that,then this platform going to blow away blogging platforms and social media platforms.

I believe that has happened and is happening to steem. This can be minimized if senior users find a way to filter out quality content of new users and upvote/resteem them.
