Recently since the introduction of the Decision Review System Dhoni has mastered the art of getting it right. So much so, that everyone in the cricketing circuit has started calling it the ‘Dhoni Review System’. They say if the umpire gives it not out and if Dhoni from behind the stumps asks for a review, there is hardly any chance of the batsman to survive. More often than not there is the only celebration for the Indian camp thereafter but today it wasn’t to be.
Dhoni in between of creating a World Record got one wrong today which was a shocker for all his fans. That’s a very rare sight indeed and Cric Crak too was shocked because the former Indian Captain has set such high standards.
This incident occurred when Sri Lanka after losing a few early wickets was trying to consolidate a partnership with Angelo Mathews and Lahiru Thrimanne in the middle. During the middle overs of the innings when a well set Thrimanne was batting at 54 he went for a sweep against the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal. Unfortunately for him, the ball spun from the good length area and hit his pads.

The Indian team appealed but to their surprise, the umpire gave it not out. Having the best view, as usual, Dhoni then came into the picture and after a brief chat with Kohli, they decided to go for it only to learn that the ball was missing the stumps. Luckily for India, that did not cost much as Bhuvneshwar Kumar cleaned him up at 67 of 102 balls.
Cric Crak would like to congratulate Dhoni on achieving this remarkable and deserving World Record of 100 stumpings and is certain that he will get the DRS correctly once again next time around like he always does.
