Also, as for me, I do write about many different topics. Most is my own writing, and will occasionally repost an article from the Internet but I will write about that story first.
I think that if you are an expert in Religion, then keep writing about it. Eventually, good writers/stories will be recognized. But also, as a person/human being, the Religious Expert also has other aspects to his life. So maybe they have an Old Family recipe for a special meal or dessert, then I think they should write about that too. This will help expand their audience and expose their work to a different audience.
Basically Good Content is Good Content and

Thank you for the comment. That was an example, i am not the one religious expert, i am just an ordinary guy interested in philosophy, psychology and politics. I have plenty to say about these things, but politics does not really go trending ;)
